Zaphiro Group was founded in June 2005, in order to empower our purchases to our suppliers as well as be supplied of more common services to improve our final service to the paint automotive bodyshops in our distribution area.
Zaphiro Group is formed by 23 members. All of them are companies, which have been distributing paint, tools and non-paintings for Automotive Reparation for an average of 20 years, from the oldest one, 60 years, to the youngest, 9 years.
Most part of the members are distributors of BASF painting products (mainly Glasurit and RM), although some members distribute other brands.
Each member has an exclusive distribution area, which involves from 1 to 3 provinces depending on the member.
Our group covers 70% of Spanish territory, although we hope to reach the 90%-100% coverage in a short period of time.
In order to improve our member competitiveness in the automotive sector, the suppliers election is based on getting one common supplier of good quality products, as well as introducing Zaphiro private label products in Spanish market.
Most part of our chosen products are bought by Zaphiro Group, having therefore usually a sole delivering place as well as one billing point.
Furthermore, these products will be sold to our final client, the bodyshops. However, some members may sell them to other distributors but always to distributors of their selling area.
The aim of this group is mainly to develop common services which will make the management of the members easier and to introduce a new way to improve effectiveness and profitability in the bodyshops, our main clients.
